Q : Briefly tell us about your company, it's history and what kind of services do you offer?
A : My business card was designed for my senior show. I am in the graphic design program at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. For my senior project I decided to do my project on watersports. My company would connect you to watersports in the Midwest and also educate lake preservation.
Q : Your design inspires us, what inspires you?
A : I like to experiment with patterns and simple shapes with my designs. I like clean looks that are engaging and structured. Although, I do like to illustrate from time to time.
Q : You added raised ink to the front of your design, why did you select this finishing?
A : Since my company involves watersports I wanted the logo to have a surface that relates to water and reflect when the light hits it.
Q : We think the stock selection for your design is great; the silky smooth surface compliments the design well. How did you select this stock, was the weight of the stock a factor in your decision?
A : I wanted a paper that was smooth because it gives off a clean and fresh look that goes along with my theme of lake preservation and clean lakes.
Q : The overall design is simple, clean and effective. How did you come up with this layout?
A : I wanted the logo to stand out on the front of the business card with a simple texture in the background. I incorporated a wood grain into my designs that reflected a water pattern. The raised ink helped in providing a shinny water surface. The back follows the simple wood grain pattern with left justified text that is to the point and easy to understand.
Q : Any tips for our clients to consider when they are creating their business cards?
A : When choosing paper and finishing take a look at your overall design to consider what will compliment and match your company best. Your business card should reflect aspects of your company that others can relate and understand.
Q : Did you experience any difficulties when using MorningPrint.com, or find anything to be inconvenient or inefficient?
A : I had no problems with using Morning Print for my business cards. The instructions were easy to upload my files and I got my cards very quickly in the mail with no problems.
Q : If there is any other information that you would like to share with our clients about you or your company please feel free to include it! MorningPrint will provide pictures of your business card, but feel free to include any pictures or illustrations to accompany your interview
A : I will be graduating this December and would love to have some freelance work if anyone is interested in business card designs.
