Q : Briefly tell us about your company, it???s history and what kind of services you offer?
A : ShinDimensions is a recent personal freelance business that I run. My services generally include videography, animation and design. I shoot short films, promo videos/ads, create short animations/interactive animations and design logos, graphics, websites and many more.
Q : Your design inspires us, what inspires you?
A : As cheesy or clichè as this might sound, I can get inspired from pretty much anything but it really depends on how something gains my attention though. You could say I might view things from a cinematic perspective as my passion and career pursuit lies in film and directing, so you could say that is my main influences and inspirations.
Q : With many choices of stocks why did you select the clear plastic + white ink?
A : The theme of my design was a digital/futuristic look so I wanted my card to look more like a hologram type screen which is why I chose a transparent type stock.
Q : Was this your first time print on clear plastic?
A : Yes this was my first time printing on clear plastic and I am very happy with the results.
Q : How did you come up with the overall layout of the design and the areas for white ink?
A : Originally I intended to have it printed on normal paper card stock so at first I had a more ????old film???? like design, meaning, there was some ????film burn???? effects, de-saturated and burnt colours, noise, film grain/dust and so on. As I kept experimenting with my design, the idea came to me that I wanted to represent a new perspective or ????dimension???? to videos, animation and design, which is how and why I decided to go for a more technical/modern and futuristic design.
Q : Any tips for our clients to consider when they are creating their business cards?
A : Biggest tip is to brainstorm. Put your ideas onto paper first. Draw random sketches, write up words that relate to who you are, what you want to represent etc. On a more technical note, make sure to look up exactly what kind of stock you want to print on and the dimensions beforehand. Some might feel like it???s limiting but try to be creative and find out ways to use the type of stock to your advantage.
Q : Did you experience any difficulties when using MorningPrint.com, or find anything to be inconvenient or inefficient? Any suggestions you can offer us to help make the customer experience better?
A : I have to say that Morning Print has not disappointed me at all. The customer service was very effective (you guys replied to my emails faster than businesses located in my own city??|). The prices were also very reasonable and out do the ones in my area as well. I can???t think of anything that I had any issues with and I am very thankful for Morning Print???s services. I have already recommended it to friends and were also very satisfied with the results.
